We maintain permanent partnerships with members of the university community and its representative in Catalonia, the Vives Network of Universities. In particular this involves studies relating to the standardization of new terms in language for specific purposes, the sharing of information on joint interest terminology projects, and transfers of terminological data to promote optimal dissemination of Catalan terminology.
TERMCAT offers internships to people studying terminology, lexicography, translation, information science, communication, multimedia studies and computer science. In some cases internships may also be available for students of specific subjects (for example chemistry, genetics, philosophy, music, etc.) related to terminology projects in progress.
We also offer visits and presentations for groups of students, professionals or researchers who are interested in learning more about terminology, and organize training sessions relating to specific areas of terminology work.
TERMCAT has stable and ongoing partnerships focusing on education with the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, the University of Alacant, the University of Barcelona, the University of Girona, the University of Lleida, the University of Valencia, the Universitat Jaume I, the Pompeu Fabra University, the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya and the University of Salamanca.
