Tesaurus de termes de recerca

This terminological product online includes nearly twenty thousand words corresponding to keywords and related terms used for the evaluation of proposals and grant applications in the field of research presented at calls for the Agency for Management of University and Research (Agència de Gestió d’Ajuts Universitaris i de Recerca, AGAUR) of the Ministry of University and Research (Ministry of Economy and Knowledge of the Government of Catalonia).

The terms included correspond to different areas of knowledge represented in the tree of the field enclosed, structured as a thesaurus. The work of collecting terms for areas was not exhaustive but the result of the needs identified in relation to the labelling of the proposals and applications in each specific area; so too, the number of terms included in each case varies. It is expected the update the product according to the needs that arise in new grants awarded in the field of research.

Each record contains the names in Catalan and, mostly, in English, although in some cases also include equivalents in Spanish, French and German, and definitions. In addition, each term presents the thematic area and, where appropriate, an indication of "keyword".

Clicking on "Consulta de termes" ('Term search'), terms can be looked up either by the alphabetical list of all names (for each language of the dictionary), or make simple and advanced searches directly to the query text box (in any language). Using the Accés temàtic ('Thematic access') in Catalan, terms are presented assigned to each of the branches of the thesaurus.
