This dictionary gathers and defines nearly six thousand terms in Catalan, with the equivalents in Spanish, English and French, related to morbid anatomy and histopathology, pathogen agents and diseases, clinical features, animal production, reproduction, identification systems, bromatology, veterinary inspection and pets, among others.

It is the online version for the Diccionari de veterinària i ramaderia ("Dictionary on veterinary science and cattle farming"), published by TERMCAT and Enciclopèdia Catalana in 2002 and elaborated under the direction and scientific coordination of Iscle Selga, with the terminological coordination by TERMCAT and the participation of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, Food and Natural Environment and other institutions of the field.

This edition allows for the first time the thematic consultation and adds specific corrections regarding the paper version, result of the updated maintenance work carried out by TERMCAT, and includes the terminology that the paper version offered without definition in the attached tables dedicated to the animal ethnology and morphology.

Clicking on Consulta de termes ('Term search'), terms can be looked up in two ways: using the alphabetical indexes (there is a different index for each language), or introducing a term in any language in the upper space Text de la consulta ('Text search'); this second option allows simple or advanced searches.
