This dictionary gathers almost one thousand and eight hundred Catalan terms with the definition and the equivalents in Spanish and English, related to the theory, field and laboratory work, constructions and interpreting, that cover a very wide range of areas, such as numismatics, dating techniques or excavation methods.

It is the online version for the Diccionari d'arqueologia ('Archaeology Dictionary'), elaborated by Lluís Garcia Petit, Josep Miret, M. Teresa Miró and Genís Ribé in 2002, with the terminological advice and edition of TERMCAT and sponsored by ArqueoCat, Arqueociència Serveis Culturals, Atics and Codex Arqueologia i Patrimoni. Original data may have been updated or completed afterwards by TERMCAT.

Clicking on Consulta de termes ('Term search'), terms can be looked up in two ways: using the alphabetical indexes (there is a different index for each language), or introducing a term in any language in the upper space Text de la consulta ('Text search'); this second option allows simple or advanced searches.
