The Terminology of Artificial Intelligence brings together a selection of key terms essential for understanding the current use of artificial intelligence tools in sectors such as digital services, industry, education, and healthcare.
The work is primarily focused on the most common terms offering an accessible and clear approach to the growing presence of AI in everyday life.
It includes 140 basic concepts related to specific areas such as machine learning, artificial neural networks, natural language processing, computer vision, and generative AI, as well as more general concepts in computing and data processing. Each terminological entry contains a Catalan term; synonyms, if any; equivalents in Spanish, French, and English; a definition; and explanatory or illustrative notes when considered appropriate.
The work is the result of collaboration between TERMCAT and experts from research institutions in AI gathered in the document Work team.
Clicking on "Consulta de termes" (‘Term search’), terms can be looked up in three ways: using the alphabetical indexes (there is a different index for each language), using the thematic access or making simple or advanced searches in the upper space "Text de la consulta" (‘Text search’) in any of the dictionary languages.
