Verbal branding, the strategic management of the verbal elements that identify a brand is a discipline that is in its infancy in our country. The Diccionari de brànding verbal ('Dictionary of verbal branding') is the first terminological corpus that systematizes this field of expertise and, with an informative aim, makes it available to professors and students interested in this discipline, as well as professionals in branding and marketing or linked to the strategic management of corporate communication.

This dictionary, made by Jordi García Soler with the advice of TERMCAT, is a collection of 528 terms referring to the whole process of creating names and nomenclatures (strategy, name generation, assessment, and legal protection), in addition to the essential terminology of branding as a reference discipline, the terminology relating to the natural language processing and the generic terminology of sound branding, a discipline that is gradually becoming established in this area. Every entry contains the main designation in Catalan and its synonyms (if any), equivalents in Spanish, French and English, a definition as well as additional notes that expand the information, giving related terms and providing examples.

Part of the terms contained in the dictionary are terms standardized by the Supervisory Council, the corporate body in charge of terminological standardisation in Catalan, which considered and passed the proposals agreed upon by a group of experts.

Clicking on "Consulta de termes" (‘Term search’), terms can be looked up in two ways: using the alphabetical indexes (there is a different index for each language) or making simple or advanced searches in the upper space "Text de la consulta" (‘Text search’) in any of the dictionary languages.
